This beautiful and distinctive two-story home at Kealakekua Bay is located directly across a quiet one lane road from the ocean--the shore is state owned and consists of a lava beach with excellent access for swimming, snorkeling and kayaking. There is nothing in front of this home to obstruct the spectacular views of Kealakekua Bay, or the gentle, near constant breezes blowing in from the bay.
The first-floor living and kitchen areas feature a beamed cathedral ceiling, Italian tile floors throughout, comfortable island-style furnishings in the living room, satellite TV and VCR, and a stereo system with CD player. The folding accordian-style doors open the entire width of the living room to the front lanai, with outside seating to enjoy the unobstructed view of lovely Kealakekua Bay, while luxuriating in the gentle breezes, sounds of the surf, and truly spectacular sunsets.
The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to create and serve fabulous meals, including high quality stainless steel cookware and flatware, fine china tableware and crystal glassware. The refrigerator is a large side-by-side unit with ice and cold water dispensers. The kitchen features custom Honduran mahogany cabinets, and all appliances necessary for easy meal preparation and cleanup, including a large dishwasher and garbage disposal. There is also a washer and dryer on the premises. One dines either inside informally at kitchen counter seating, or on the private, spacious rear lanai with patio table, chairs for 6, and an 11-ft market umbrella and a large propane BBQ. There are also stairs down from this lanai to an outdoor hot and cold shower ground level, for easy cleanup after returning from the beach.
The beautifully appointed master bedroom suite is the entire second floor of this house, with a panoramic view of Kealakekua Bay. There is a king size platform bed and a private bath with jacuzzi tub.
There are two first floor bedrooms both with ceiling fans, oceanviews and private lanai access through sliding doors. The larger bedroom has a queen bed and a spacious adjacent shower bathroom; the smaller bedroom has a comfortable queen size Murphy's bed and its own half bath.
On the ground level there is a 4th garden view bedroom suite with a private sitting area with refrigerator and microwave, and a sleeping area with two twin beds. Directly outside is the enclosed hot and cold outdoor shower, and stairs to the dining lanai.

For stays of less than one week the house is available for $400-500/night with a 4-night minimum stay. In addition there are two taxes outlined below, a $500 security deposit and a $200 out cleaning fee. Maximum occupancy is 8 and families with young children are discouraged due to the many stairs and balconies.
